Everglide Attack Pad

First of all, I would like to throw a huge thank you to Everglide for supplying me with the pad so I could do this review.

After a period of skepticism, I decided I would give this hyped up mouse pad a try. I contacted Everglide and they were more than happy to supply one for reviewing purposes. After I pulled it out of the mailing package, I was first amazed at the oh-so-smooth texture, despite the microgroves in the pad. I then set it in it's little cramped space (I have a small desk). I decided I should clean it first, in order to determine how clean the pad kept the mouse. So I spent a good 5-7 minutes cleaning my Logitech MouseMan Wheel (3 button & a wheel).

Time do to testing! Testing a mouse pad is the best and most fun of all computer parts. Why? Games! I decided to play some Half Life. To make a long story short, I suck at Half Life and didn't do a whole lot better. Although, I might point out that my crossbow aiming was much better.

Quake 3 Test was my next "benchmark." It might be that I was used to the pad now, or whatever, but I was SMOKING! I was taking first and second every server I jumped on. The pad doesn't help much in long range rocket fests, but it effects close combat, a lot! If you're familiar with the move where you jump over your opponent, rotate 180 and put a rocket in his rectum, this pad will help an unbelievable amount in it's execution.

In conclusion, I would just like to point out the pad I used was the "Large Attack Pad (Black)" and costs $18.95. The white Attack Pad is $2 less and looks just as cool (to me at least). Is the pad worth $19 + shipping charges, YES! You might be thinking, "I'm not a gamer." I would still recommend this pad, especially if you make graphics. It's great even for surfing the web. The accuracy of the pad, if you want to call it that (it should be a called a blessing from God), is amazing. Oh, by the way, the mouse kept very clean compared to my regular mouse pad!
