As you can see Slugo's slow hard drive had a lot to do with the score of the Asus on The Frag-Machine. If you have an ATA33 hard drive I don't think this should be a problem, being that Slugo's hard drive is slower than that. The Acer scored really low, I don't think that hard drive speed mattered, being that it scored exactly the same on both machines. As a side-note, Slugo didn't install the DOS/Win3.x Drivers for the Asus; which, I found to actually increase the drive's speed. When I first installed the Asus in my computer it scored low, I then installed the drivers, rebooted and then I got a 800+ point performance gain on the benchmark.

Ok, now that we have SiSoft's opinion, lets put them to some "real world" tests. We'll do some autoread and install speed timing.
