Testing is always the fun part. The results of the DC1206BM-O HSF were compared to a Standard CM12V Coolermaster HSF. Obviously, the Dynatron HSF should be a better heatsink; but by how much?

Testing Setup
Processor 933MHz Intel Pentium III
Memory 100/133 256 SDRAM
Motherboard Micro-Star 6137, Intel Chipset
Disk Capacity Maxtor 40GB
Video Card Radeon 7000 PCI 64MB DDR
Additional Fans Side Fan, Back Fan

All temperatures are taken via the motherboard CPU sensor and system temperature sensor. The temperatures were obtained from a program called SpeedFan. Arctic Silver 3 was used on both of the heatsinks.

The idle temperature tests were performed by leaving the system on for 30 minutes at 0% CPU usage.

The load temperatures were achieved by setting SiSoft Sandra to run the CPU Arithmetic Benchmark and CPU Multimedia Benchmark 10 times consecutively. Temperatures were taken after the tenth time each program ran:
